This Wednesday we visitied the concert of Arjan Breukhoven well-known organist from Netherlands. The concert was just fine. Especially I liked his own piano things he played.
I little bit of disappointment. Unfortunately that day Trio-Sonata has another women playing cello :-)
These two pics taken by me but almost all of them hardly successfull. I think my dad’s pics (Mark II + 70-300 + flash) will be hundred times better. Gonna grab them, create a gallery and send a link to Arjan - he has just two pictures on his homepage.
This is the organ at Saratov conservatory. Of course I’ve seen this instrument before in churches and cathedrals and heared how it sounds but I’ve never seen how people play it. On the bottom picture Marianna Vysotskaya with here assistant are playing Antonio Vivaldi. I did’n know that musician plays with help of assistant but this device is so huge and has so much various buttons, keyboards, pedals and levers that it’s obvious it’s no way to play it alone. Assistant turned the pages, presses buttons, switched levers while Marianna was playing on keyboard and pressing pedals (her legs were so funny moving). By the way the sound is really great. I like it. After the concert we bought tickets to the next concert - Arjan Breukhoven from Holland and Trio-Sonata.
